Targets
Reference for mapping targets and the actions each one offers.
A target is what a control drives. A mapping can hold several, and each responds to the control kinds it supports.
Playback and selection
Scene
Drives one scene. Trigger type picks the action, and Use off / Hold calls the target again when the control is released, which turns a button into a holdable trigger.
Selection Group
Selects a group. The selection currently applies to every connected client.
Client-side target triggering is planned but not supported yet.
Function Group
Switches the Functions panel to a group, again for all clients.
Mapping Layer
Activates, deactivates or toggles a layer. Combined with feedback this lights a button while its layer is on.
Masters
Group Master
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Set value (fader) | The fader rides the master |
| Set to 0% and Set to 100% | Jumps to that level |
| Ceil (hold) and Floor (hold) | Forces full or zero while held |
The master selector defaults to Grand Master. As a trigger, Set value (fader) toggles between zero and full.
Beat Master
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Tap | Taps the tempo, and syncs at the same time |
| Sync | Re-aligns the beat without changing the tempo |
| Double and Half | Doubles or halves the tempo |
| Set to… | Jumps to a fixed BPM you enter |
With Blink on, the feedback blinks in time with the beat. For Set to… the feedback instead shows whether the tempo currently matches.
SpeedMaster
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Set value (fader) | The fader rides the master |
| Set to ×0 and Set to ×1 | Jumps to that level |
| Ceil (hold) and Floor (hold) | Forces ×1 or ×0 while held |
Functions
Function
Controls one capability such as Dimmer, Pan, Tilt or a color channel. Fixtures picks whether it acts on the current selection or on a fixed list you choose.
As a button it offers a trigger mode, either toggling between 0 and 100 percent or disabling the channel.
Function by Index
Controls the Nth fader of the visible functions, per client. You pick a Function group and a Fader index, counted from 1.
Pan/Tilt and Color
Take a twoD or color value and drive position or color, again on the selection or on a fixed fixture list.
Actions and tricks
Runtime
Blackout and Blind Edit, both with an optional hold.
Action
App-level actions: Undo, Redo, Clear programmer, Insert to programmer, Stop all scenes and Highlight and Lowlight.
Trick
Selection tricks: Invert ghost, Selection Odd, Selection Even, Shuffle order and Disable selected.
Feedback
One target per mapping can be marked as the feedback source with Set as feedback source. Controls that support feedback then reflect its state, so a scene button lights while its scene runs.
The first target is the default feedback source.
