Presets Panel
Reference for preset pages, groups, the two preset types and their behaviors.
The Presets panel holds one-click buttons for looks and selections, arranged on pages of grouped tiles.
Presets will change in an upcoming release. The current implementation is a first pass, and the next version will be more flexible and powerful.
Currently, presets are a snapshot of programmer values or fixture selections. The next version will have different types of presets and allow you to store presets themselves in scene steps, instead of applying the values once.
This page will update accordingly when the new preset system is released.

- Group tile.
- Preset tile. The buttons themselves.
- Empty slot. Click to create a preset.
- Add group button. At the end of every row and below the last row.
- Page selector. Switches and creates pages.
- Page edit menu. Renames or deletes the current page.
Pages
The selector at the bottom right switches pages, and pages can be organized in folders. Its green + creates a page, the folder button creates a folder, and right-clicking a row allow you to Rename and Delete the item.
The pencil next to the selector holds Rename and Delete page for the current page. The last remaining page cannot be deleted.
Groups
A group is a grid of tiles. The + button at the end of a row adds one to that row, the one below the last row starts a new row.
The group's title tile takes the first cell, so a group holds width × height - 1 presets. A new group is 3 by 1, which means two preset slots, and gets a random color.
Group pages
A group can hold several pages of presets. Clicking the title tile advances to the next page, and the mouse wheel over the group scrolls through them. With more than one page the title shows a counter such as 2 / 3.
Right-clicking the title allow you to edit the group settings, add a page after the current one or delete the current page. You can't delete the last page of a group.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|

Behaviors
The two preset types decide what a click on the preset does.
Value presets:
| Behavior | Result |
|---|---|
| Toggle for selected fixtures | Applies to the selection, clicking again removes those values |
| Toggle for all fixtures | The same for every fixture the preset holds |
| Apply for selected fixtures | Applies to the selection, clicking again just re-applies |
| Apply for all fixtures | The same for every fixture the preset holds |
Fixture selection presets:
| Behavior | Result |
|---|---|
| Toggle fixtures | Adds its fixtures to the selection, clicking again removes them |
| Add fixtures | Always adds |
| Overwrite selection with fixtures | Replaces the selection |
Creating a preset
Click an empty slot and pick the type:
- Add value preset captures the current programmer, values and effects, at the moment you create it.
- Add fixture selection preset captures the current fixture selection.
Preset settings
Right-click a preset and choose Edit. Both types share the identity fields:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name (optional) | Shown on the tile |
| Icon | Picked from the icon library, and removable again |
| Color | The tile background, removable again |
A value preset additionally shows how many values and effects it holds and offers Overwrite, which recaptures the current programmer into that tile. There is no confirmation. Editing the individual values is not available yet.
A fixture selection preset either holds a fixed fixture list or, with Use existing group on, points at a group.
Using presets
Clicking a tile applies it. A value preset drops its values and effects into the programmer, a selection preset changes the fixture selection.
Active presets have a blue ring. For value presets, active means the programmer currently holds what the preset stores.
Rearranging
Drag a preset onto another preset to place it there, or onto the empty slot at the end of a group page. Presets can move between groups and between the pages of a group, but not to another preset page.
Drag a group by its title tile to reorder it within a row, move it to another row, or drop it on the trailing + to start a new row.
